Is it Safe?

Yes! The whitening gel we use is very mild, therefore it is very safe and you receive all the whitening without the increased sensitivity.

How does it work?

Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth that will allow for custom made trays to be made to fit only you. Trays take up to two weeks to be made. Two weeks later your dentist will fit your trays and give you instructions of use. You will be given a whitening kits which will include whitening trays, whitening gel and toothpaste.

Whitening usually takes up to 2 weeks, this may vary depending on starting shade.

How long does it last?

The results may be permanent but duration of your results depend mostly on you. If you use staining substances like coffee, tobacco and red wine you may need to touch up your whitening for a couple of days every couple of years. If you practice good oral hygiene and avoid staining substances the results could last years.

Are there any side effects?

There are a small amount of people that could experience sensitivity during the whitening process. This is temporary and usually goes away within the first 48 hours after the whitening process is completed.

Cost

At Church Street Dental Practice we offer Home Whitening for the low price of £250. This include impressions, whitening trays and 8 tubes of whiting gel which lasts up to 2 weeks.

Single whitening tubes can be purchased after the initial two week whitening package for £10 per tube.

How white will they go?

There is no limit to how much you can whiten your teeth. If you continue using the whitening gel your teeth will continually become whiter.
